The AMC7932 is a highly integrated analog monitoring device designed for high-density general purpose monitoring systems. The AMC7932 includes 32 12-bit digital-to-analog converters (DACs) with programmable output ranges. The device also integrates a multiplexed 12-bit analog-to-digital converter (ADC) with programmable threshold detectors, an AQY410EH temperature sensor, and an internal reference. The high level of integration of the AMC7932 significantly reduces component count and simplifies closed-loop system design, making it an excellent choice for high-density applications where board space is critical.
The device includes flexible input/output (FlexIO) pins that can be configured as analog inputs to the ADC or GPIO with two available options: AMC7932 (six FlexIO pins) and AMC7932F (five FlexIO pins). Communication with the device is performed through a 3-wire (AMC7932) or 4-wire (AMC7932F) SPI-compatible interface.
The high level of integration and wide operating temperature range of the AMC7932 makes the device an excellent choice for an all-in-one bias control circuit for power amplifiers (PAs) in multi-channel RF communication systems. The flexible DAC output range and built-in sequencing allow the device to be used as a bias controller for various transistor technologies such as LDMOS, GaAs, and GaN.
